Tour Itinerary

Depart Windhoek and travel into the largest sand mass on earth, the spectacular Kalahari Desert. This stretch of sand covers nine African countries and is known as the ‘Soul of the World’. Take a drive through the red dunes and check into your Lodge for the night.

Travel south through arid and extensive rocky plains, through the Garas quiver tree forest and surrounding dolerite boulders. Explore the Lodge by vehicle or on foot, admiring the impressive rock formations and rugged landscape.

Visit the magnificent Fish River Canyon, smaller only than the Grand Canyon. Continue to Luderitz for a traditional Namibian atmosphere.

After breakfast visit the deserted diamond mining town of Kolmanskop. Then travel north along the Tiras Mountain Range to your accommodation in the Namib Desert. Enjoy the swimming pool, or explore the vast open desert plains.

Enter the Namib-Naukluft National Park at sunrise for an unforgettable vision of the Deadvlei and Sossusvlei. Climb the dunes for a breathtaking view. Venture to Sesriem Canyon, a life sustaining natural phenomenon in the heart of the Desert.

Today we travel to the playground of Namibia, Swakopmund. On the way we stop at Walvis Bay, home to 80% of African flamingos and a RAMSAR World Heritage Site.

The day is free for you to explore Swakopmund. This idyllic coastal town offers local pastries and fresh coffee, historic buildings, museums, and a bohemian beach lifestyle. You can also get your adrenaline racing, skydiving over the desert or quad biking through the dunes*.

Head east to the Erongo Mountain Range for an informative bush walk, learning about Bushman culture and traditions. You may also learn a survival skill or two. Pass by Brandberg Mountain into the rocky area of Damaraland.

Early in the morning a local Damara guide takes us to Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site known for its paintings and rock engravings. Visit the Living Museum of the Damara and the Petrified Forest on the way to Etosha National Park.

Spend the day in Etosha National Park searching for 4 of the Big 5. The National Park is home to over 100 game species and 340 bird species.

Enjoy a morning Game Drive in the Park, searching for more unforgettable wildlife. Depending on the time of year you may even see young foals, cubs, and chicks frolicking with their parents.

After breakfast we travel back through the centre of Namibia to Windhoek. If time permits visit a woodcarvers market or craft markets along the way. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
