Napa Lake in Tibetan means “the lake behind the forest” and is a seasonal mountain lake where you will find local herdsmen and many species of birds. The lake is seasonal and during summer the snow on the adjacent mountains melts and flows down into about ten rivers forming a vast lake. During the dry season, the area becomes a vast green grassland when the herdsman will visit with their animals as well as the migratory birds who visit annually from the north.
