Tour Itinerary
Your epic journey starts with a hike up spectacular Table Mountain where you can admire the ocean and city views.
After breakfast explore the Cape Peninsula, including Hout Bay, Cape Point, and the Cape of Good Hope. Enjoy dinner at the waterfront in the evening.
Travel north along the West Coast, through the barren desert that blooms in spring. Arrive in the rocky Namaqua Desert for the night.
Today we cross the border into Namibia. Arrive at your accommodation for the next two nights and relax on the banks of the Orange River.
Canoe along the River and admire the beautiful scenery of Richtersveld. Enjoy your accommodation in the late afternoon.
Explore magnificent Fish River Canyon, second in size only to the Grand Canyon. Continue into the breathtaking Namib Desert.
In the morning we take a walk through the changing colours of the vast desert, before a siesta and afternoon open vehicle drive. Enjoy a sundowner and search for nocturnal wildlife.
Today we travel into the heart of Sossusvlei and explore the unforgettable red dunes and white salt pan. Continue into the desert, stopping at Sesriem Canyon.
Cross Kuiseb Canyon and Namib-Naukluft National Park, as well as Walvis Bay, before arriving in seaside Swakopmund. Enjoy the white sandy beaches and refreshing Atlantic Ocean.
We say goodbye to those on the 10 day tour. Everyone else is free to explore the town. There are many optional activities available, from animal adventures, to desert explorations, and even sky diving*.
Travel north along the Skeleton Coast, aptly named for the scattered shipwrecks littering the beaches. Venture back inland through the desert to Brandberg Mountain. Try to spot the elusive desert elephant from tonight’s lodge accommodation.
Continue on your journey to famous Etosha National Park. The Park is home to thousands of flamingos, jumping fish, and rare flora and fauna.
Spend the day on Game Drives, visiting water holes and searching for lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes, cheetahs, and more!
Today we cover some distance, travelling through the towns and villages of northern Namibia. Arrive on the banks of the Okavango River, green, lush, and inviting.
Cross the border into Botswana and explore the world’s largest inland delta. The Okavango Delta is home to beautiful flowers and birdlife.
Enjoy the day exploring the Delta, travelling by mokoro and walking through the wilderness. Learn about the local people and their way of life. Admire the stunning sunset on a cruise. You can also take a scenic helicopter flight over the Delta*.
After breakfast we travel to the frontier town of Maun. Our Lodge for the night is on the banks of Boteti River, known for its unique flow direction.
Say goodbye to those on the 18 day tour. Spend the morning relaxing at the Lodge, or venture to a nearby village with a local. We then venture eastward to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Hopefully see elephants up close at your Lodge’s waterhole.
Travel to the slow moving Chobe River, home to hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffalo. Take a boat cruise on the River, silently searching for wildlife. Then cross the border to Zimbabwe and check into your Lodge for the next two nights.
Visit the famous Victoria Falls and the surrounding rainforest. You can also visit the tribal village or curio market. Optional activities are available here, including a helicopter flight over the thundering falls, white water rafting, or bungee jumping*.
We say goodbye to those on the 21 day tour. Continue to the renowned Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s premier Game Reserve. Take a Game Drive in search for over 100 mammal species, and 400 bird species.
Journey south to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second largest city. Then continue to Matobo and take an open vehicle drive through Matobo National Park. Spend the night high on a granite dome amongst the balancing boulders of the Matobo Hills.
Your last night is in a private Game Reserve on the banks of Limpopo River. Enjoy a final night walk together, with a special bush dinner and late night fire.
After one last breakfast, cross the border into South Africa following the scenic route through the Waterberg Mountains, into Johannesburg. Your spectacular 24 day African adventure is complete!
