The western provinces of Yunnan and Guizhou are home to many of China’s original minority groups, who still reside in their traditional villages. As you immerse yourself in the spirit of China you will get to experience many of the
original crafts of the minority groups, and admire the architecture of the buildings that is so different to that of the east. Wander amongst untouched natural scenery, with towering waterfalls, stunning caves, and sparkling terraced

Tour Itinerary

You will be met on arrival in Guiyang. Visit the Provincial Museum with a traditional hot pot for dinner!

Travel to Zhijin Cave and wander amongst the formations inside China’s largest limestone cave. Visit the Old-Han Chinese Village, known for its 600yr old Opera. Stay overnight in Anshun.

Visit the largest waterfall in China and walk behind the gushing water curtain. Learn about Chinese green tea and have the opportunity to pick tea leaves. Travel to Guiyang for the night.

Continue your journey to Kaili, home of the Miao & Dong people. Stop at the Shiqiao Miao Village and learn a local craft, before learning how to make batik at the Gejia People Village.

Venture deeper in to the mountains, visiting the Jidao Long Skirt Miao Village along the way. You will enjoy traditional entertainment there, as well as when you arrive in Zhaoxing.

Spend the morning exploring the first ecological museum of the Dong people. Hike through the vibrant terraced fields back to Zhaoxing. The afternoon is free for you to explore, with special musical entertainment in the evening.

In the morning drive to Guiyang, then take the bullet train to Kunming. Check in to your hotel for the next two nights.

Travel to Western Hill where you can ride the cable car to Dragon Gate, admiring the spectacular view on the way. In the afternoon admire the craftsmanship of the Bamboo Temple.

Continue your journey to Jianshui, an ancient city that sets the scene for many Chinese films. You’ll explore the highlights including Chaoyang Gate, the Zhu Family Garden, and more.

Admire the masterpiece of the Seventeen Arch Bridge, a famous ancient Chinese bridge. Continue to Yuanyang, exploring Tuanshan Village on the way. In Yuanyang you will marvel at the sunset from beautiful Laohuzui Terrace Field.

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the glittering terraced fields of Duoyishu Village. Then travel to Qingkou Village, home of one of China’s minority groups.

Watch another spectacular sunrise, then travel to Kunming. On the way you will stop at the Stone Forest, filled with magnificent jagged limestone formations, temples, and pagodas.

Enjoy your last delicious breakfast and spend the day at your leisure until it is time to transfer to the airport for your ﬂight home.
