Upon arrival at Lhasa airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon enjoying a visit to Barkhor Circuit, created by thousands of pilgrims undertaking the walk around the shrine.
Enjoy a visit to the Potala Palace, an architectural wonder towering over an entire mountain. You will also visit Jokhang Temple, regarded by Tibetans as the most sacred temple in the region.
After breakfast, travel to Gyantse, and visit the Pelkor Monastery and the ruins of the Old Fort.
Leave Gyantse today and travel to Shigatse. Upon arrival, you will visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery where the 11th Panchen Lama, who ranks close to the Dalai Lama, has his official residence.
After breakfast, depart Shigatse and travel back to Lhasa.
