Tour Itinerary

You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure to explore Colombo.

Explore the city on a tour through the temples, residential areas, and the famous Pettah Bazaar. Colombo is a mixture of modern metropolis and historic colonial era districts. Travel to the treasured Dambulla Cave Temple, filled with unique drawings and 150 statues of Buddha. Afterwards continue to your hotel in Sigiriya and check in.

This morning you will take a walk through the jungle to a local village where you will enjoy a home cooked meal. During your trek you will come across a traditional village, and learn about Chena Cultivation. In the afternoon visit the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa. Admire the resting Buddha statues and carved Hindu sculptures as you walk through this World Heritage Listed Site.

Visit the spectacular Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a site of ancient engineering, and art and culture. Marvel at the breathtaking view from the top. You will then travel to Kandy, stopping at the Spice Gardens of Matale along the way where you can learn about the therapeutic benefits of local spices. Once you arrive in Kandy, wander through the spectacular Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens.

Today is full of Sri Lanka’s fantastic culture and nature! Wander through the Temple of the Tooth, stroll through the bazaar, then visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The Orphanage cares for and protects orphaned baby elephants. In the evening you will enjoy a vibrant cultural show.

Travel to Nuwara Eliya, stopping at a lush Tea Plantation along the way. Try local Ceylon tea and learn about its cultivation and history. Explore Nuwara Eliya on a city tour, admiring the breathtaking views of the countryside. You’ll receive a delicious surprise when you check in to your hotel.

Get up close and personal with Sri Lanka’s greatest wildlife on a Jeep Safari in Yala National Park! From brightly coloured birds to magnificent leopards and elephants, you will not be disappointed.

Take the beautiful scenic drive to Galle, where you will explore the mixture of Portuguese, Dutch, and British heritage. Visit the Galle Dutch Fortress and the Dutch Shopping Complex nearby before checking in to your hotel for the night.

After one last breakfast, stop at the famous Kosgoda Turtle Sanctuary to learn about turtle conservation, before transferring to the airport for your ﬂight home.
