Sri Lanka Express is a 9-day escorted tour exploring Colombo, Sigiriya, Hiriwadunna, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Yala National Park, Galle. Rising dramatically above the surrounding jungle, this remarkable fifth-century citadel rewards visitors with breathtaking panoramic views, ancient frescoes and fascinating royal history; step inside the remarkable Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back more than 2,000 years. Discover five spectacular cave shrines adorned with intricate murals and over 150 Buddha statues, making this one of Sri Lanka's most important religious and cultural landmarks; Nuwara Eliya - Tea Plantation Country, where you can travel through rolling tea plantations to the charming town of Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as "Little England". Visit a working tea plantation, sample world-famous Ceylon tea and indulge in an elegant High Tea at the historic Grand Hotel; climb aboard a safari vehicle and explore Yala National Park, home to one of the world's highest densities of leopards.
