Tour Itinerary

Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, hop in a tuk-tuk to explore the lively That Luang Night Market, a local favourite rarely visited by tourists. Wander the stalls, taste authentic Lao street food, and then continue to a traditional Lao-style BBQ, or Sindat, where your guide introduces signature dishes. Return to your hotel by tuk-tuk to rest and soak in your first evening in Laos.

After breakfast, explore Vientiane’s cultural and historic landmarks. Visit Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddhas, and the former royal temple Wat Prakeo, now a museum of art and antiques. Discover Wat Simuang, a bustling local pilgrimage site. Stop at the Patuxai Monument for photos and panoramic city views, then admire the golden stupa of Pha That Luang. Learn about Laos’ modern history at the COPE Visitor Centre, before venturing to the quirky Buddha Park. End the day watching the Mekong River sunset.

Board a scenic train in the morning for a short journey through rolling mountains to Luang Prabang. On arrival, meet your guide and check in to your hotel. Begin a half-day city tour visiting the Royal Palace Museum, Heuan Chan Heritage House, and the majestic Wat Xiengthong. Cross the road to Wat Khili to explore the library and historic photo exhibition, and finish with a visit to the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre to gain insight into Laos’ diverse ethnic communities.

Rise early to witness the sacred Tak Bat almsgiving ceremony, where monks collect rice offerings from locals. After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time before boarding the Nava Song for a tranquil Mekong River cruise. Visit the mystical Pak Ou Caves, perched on limestone cliffs and filled with thousands of Buddha statues. On the return journey, relax with drinks and local canapés as the sun sets behind the mountains, casting golden light over the river and countryside.

Venture to the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfall, where you can swim in turquoise pools or walk the forest trails. Visit the Bear Rescue Centre nearby, protecting endangered Asiatic black bears. Enjoy lunch at Carpe Diem Restaurant before continuing to the Laos Buffalo Dairy for a guided tour, tasting session, and the chance to meet the friendly buffalo. On the return trip, stop at Ock Pop Tok to see traditional silk weaving in action and learn about local craft techniques.

Spend your final day at leisure exploring Luang Prabang’s historic streets, temples, and riverside markets at your own pace. Relax at a café, stroll along the Mekong, or shop for souvenirs before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
