Tour Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are met with a warm KARIBU — Swahili for welcome — and transferred to your lodge at the base of Mount Meru. The drive passes fertile farmland, village life, and towering acacia trees that signal your arrival in East Africa. The afternoon is yours to unwind after your journey. Relax in the gardens, enjoy a swim, or simply take in the tropical surroundings as hornbills and colobus monkeys move through the trees. As evening falls, gather for your first dinner under the African sky. The air is warm, the pace slows, and the anticipation builds — tomorrow, the safari begins. OVERNIGHT: ARUMERU RIVER LODGE OR SIMILAR

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your scenic charter flight into the Serengeti ecosystem. Flying over the Great Rift Valley and volcanic highlands, the scale of Tanzania begins to unfold beneath you. Landing at Ikoma Airstrip is a true bush arrival — a remote runway surrounded by wilderness in every direction. You are welcomed by your safari team and transferred into Grumeti Hills, a private concession bordering the Serengeti. In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, and big cats may all appear within hours — your first taste of the wild. Lodge: GRUMETI HILLS OR SIMILAR

Wake early for a guided walking safari with an armed ranger. On foot, the bush becomes intimate and alive in a different way — animal tracks, birdsong, and the subtle details of the landscape come into focus. This is safari at its most personal. A bush breakfast is served beside the Grumeti River before returning to camp for rest and leisure. Later, enjoy time at your own pace or head out on another game drive. After sunset, a night drive reveals the hidden world of the bush — nocturnal predators, glowing eyes, and the sounds of Africa after dark.

Today you enter the legendary Serengeti National Park. As the landscape opens into endless grasslands, the meaning of *SERENGETI* — “THE PLACE WHERE THE LAND RUNS ON FOREVER” — becomes immediately clear. Game viewing begins as you enter the park. Lions rest under acacia trees, elephants move across the plains, and vast herds of wildlife stretch toward the horizon. A picnic lunch is enjoyed in the bush before continuing deeper into the park. By late afternoon, arrive at RONJO CAMP — an authentic tented camp surrounded by wilderness. Lodge: Ronjo Camp or similar

A full day in the Serengeti allows complete immersion in one of the world’s greatest wildlife ecosystems. Follow wildlife movement across the plains — lions on the hunt, cheetahs scanning from termite mounds, elephants travelling in family herds, and giraffes silhouetted against the horizon. Depending on the season, the Great Migration may dominate the landscape — millions of wildebeest and zebra moving in a continuous cycle across the plains. Between game drives, return to camp for rest and meals, surrounded by the sounds of the wild. Lodge: Ronjo Camp or similar

After a final Serengeti game drive, journey south into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The landscape transforms into volcanic highlands and Maasai grazing lands. Visit Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Later, join Maasai warriors for a guided walk to a sunset kopje, overlooking sweeping plains bathed in golden light. Dinner is served beneath an extraordinary night sky in one of Africa’s most historic landscapes. Lodge: Olduvai Camp or similar

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed by a collapsed volcano. This natural enclosure supports one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa — lions, elephants, buffalo, hyenas, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending in the afternoon. Continue to Bashay Rift Lodge, overlooking the Great Rift Valley. Lodge: Bashay Rift Lodge or similar

Descend into Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and massive elephant herds. As you enter, the landscape shifts — towering trees, open savannah, and the winding Tarangire River. Elephant families move slowly through the bush, while lions and giraffes share the plains. Arrive at Maweninga Camp, dramatically set on rocky outcrops overlooking the wilderness. Lodge: Mawenginga Camp or similar

A full day in Tarangire reveals the park at its most authentic. Morning and afternoon game drives showcase elephants, wild dogs, zebras, and more than 500 bird species. The iconic baobabs dominate the landscape — ancient sentinels of the African plains. Return to camp for your final night in the bush, surrounded by silence, stars, and distant wildlife calls. After breakfast, depart Tarangire and return to Arusha. The journey back carries new meaning — landscapes now familiar, shaped by experience and memory. Enjoy a farewell lunch before your final transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Tanzania leaves quietly — but never fully.
