Cherry Blossom season might be the most well known in Japan, but the Autumn Leaves are just as stunning to see! Every Autumn (or Fall in Northeast Asia), vibrant foliage litters the country. The rich autumn hues range from the brightest red to the palest yellow, with every colour in between. The local Japanese refer to this season as Aki, and the falling leaves are known as Koyo and Momiji, describing the brilliant colours and then the eye-catching red maple leaves. The weather is perfect for exploring Northeast Asia at this time, and you can’t go past seeing snow-capped Mount Fuji surrounded by the vibrant red trees.
