Amboseli lies in the under shadow of Mt Kilimanjaro on the border between Kenya and Tanzania to the east of The Mara. The park is home to an abundance of wildlife and terrain is dominated by acacia, swamps and thorny bushland.
In 1974 Amboseli was declared a National Park and comes from the Maasai word meaning “salty dust”. Renowned for the viewing of large herds of elephant and local Maasai.
