Hosting the MW Tours, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), and T’way Air famil to South Korea was an experience I’ll never forget. Visiting the country for the first time, I was immediately captivated by its vibrancy, culture, cuisine, and warmth. From the moment we arrived in Seoul, every street, temple, and market offered a new sense of wonder.

What made it even more special was sharing that first-time discovery with a fantastic group of agents. Every day brought laughter, surprise, and those wide-eyed “did you see that?” moments. South Korea truly has a way of delighting and energising you—in the best possible way.

Taking Off with T’way Air
Our adventure began in the skies aboard T’way Air. Friendly crew, smooth service, and a relaxed, upbeat atmosphere set the tone perfectly. Excitement buzzed through the group as we headed toward a new country full of vibrant experiences, historic treasures, and delicious surprises.

Seoul: Where History Meets Modern Energy
Stepping into Seoul felt like entering a living storybook where the past and present coexist beautifully. The grandeur of Gyeongbokgung Palace took our breath away, while wandering the traditional streets of Bukchon Hanok Village offered a quiet, charming contrast.

Then came the fun:

  • Sampling Myeongdong’s street food—from spicy tteokbokki (simmered rice cake) to sweet hotteok (filled pancake) – was an adventure in every bite.
  • A visit to N Seoul Tower gave us sweeping panoramic views over the city, offering a spectacular perspective of Seoul’s vast skyline.
  • The Starfield Library at COEX instantly impressed the group—towering bookshelves, striking design, and a lively, creative atmosphere.

Of course, sharing Korean BBQ together was a highlight—sizzling meat, laughter, and a communal spirit that left lasting memories.

Beyond Seoul: Speed, Coastlines, and Culture.

The KTX high-speed train to Busan was an eye-opening experience, showing just how easy travel can be in Korea. In Busan, the Songdo Air Cruise Cable Car and Yonggung Suspension Bridge offered breathtaking coastal views, while the colourful Gamcheon Culture Village felt like stepping into an artist’s palette.

A visit to Haeundae Beach, Dongbaek Island, and the Nurimaru APEC House blended natural beauty with cultural insights. And in Gyeongju, exploring Bulguksa Temple, the Daereungwon Tombs, and Cheomseongdae Observatory reminded us that Korea’s history is both deep and enduring.

Immersive Cultural Moments
Hands-on experiences brought Korea to life. Trying on hanbok, learning to make kimchi, and enjoying a Korean favourite – chicken and beer gave the group a playful, authentic connection to local culture. Markets, city streets, and friendly locals made every interaction memorable, proving that travel is as much about people as it is about places.

A Glimpse into Korea’s Modern Energy

The DMZ tour offered a meaningful insight into Korea’s history, while Seoul’s many markets and iconic Gangnam district showcased the city’s dynamic, modern spirit. From ancient temples to contemporary architecture, South Korea effortlessly blends tradition with innovation, offering something for every kind of traveller.
A Destination Full of Heart, Fun, and Discovery

By the end of the famil, it was clear: South Korea isn’t just a destination to see—it’s a destination to feel. Each day delivered new discoveries, laughter, and moments of joy that linger long after the trip ends.

Sharing this journey with a group of Australia’s top agents made the experience even richer. Together, we explored a country full of history, culture, flavour, and warmth—a destination that energises, surprises, and leaves you wanting more.

Visiting South Korea for the first time was magical, and I can confidently say: it deserves a spot at the top of every traveller’s list in 2026.
