Possibly one of the world’s most famous lakes, Lake Victoria is located on the banks of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda and was named after Queen Victoria, and has a surface area of 68,800km making it Africa’s largest lake. The lake has many inhabited islands and has 250 species of fish with fishing being a major source of food.
