The Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens is also a must see when visiting Kandy. The beautiful variety of trees, plants and fauna are amazing. Follow the path along the river to the suspension bridge at the top and return via the orchid house. A nature lovers dream with a calm, relaxing environment in total contrast to the hustle and bustle of Kandy itself.
