The Shinkansen, or Bullet Train is the fastest way to travel in Japan! High speed rail is popular in Northeast Asia due to its reliability and quick speeds (up to 320km/hr!). This efficient mode of transport runs on train lines all across Japan, and is popular for both locals and tourists alike. Similar to most things in Japan, the Shinkansen are extremely clean and comfortable.
